Scholarship for young musicians
The Fondazione Pistoiese Promusica and on its behalf Pistoia Eventi Culturali S.c.r.l., within the framework of the Listen 2.0 project, holds a competition in order to award scholarships to young musicians for their participation in a training session with the Orchestra Leonore – Fondazione Promusica Pistoia. During the session, the winners, together with a group of high‐level professional musicians, will be involved in a learning experience as an integral part of said orchestra for the closing concert of the 2017‐2018 Promusica Symphonic Season to be held Thursday the 6th of May, 2018.
The competition is held for the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet.
A Jury panel appointed by the Fondazione Pistoiese Promusica, chaired by Music Director Maestro Daniele Giorgi, will ensure the validity of the applications and scrutinize the documents and materials submitted by the individual musicians. Consequently the panel will compile a merit-based ranking of admissible candidates. The candidates considered admissible will be invited to participate, in the order of their ranking and in respect of the maximum number established by said Jury, in the May 2018 session.
